I’m Dalton (they/them), a 28-year-old living in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I work as a NLP data scientist for a startup. Originally from South Dakota, I came to Minneapolis to complete a BA in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota and decided I loved the city too much to leave. After my undergrad, I worked for a couple years at a bank in risk and compliance before becoming a research programmer at the University. My work passions are knowledge graphs, reinforcement learning, and artificial intelligence and I’ve published a few papers applying these to healthcare. I’m currently working on a MS in Computational Data Analytics through the Georgia Institute of Technology and expect to graduate at the end of 2022.

Outside of work, I love music and listen to a variety of things. I have played cello for 16 years and recently took up piano. Cooking and spending time with my partner, often also cooking, take up the majority of my free time. We enjoy trying restaurants in the Twin Cities and have a list of restaurants around the country, and world, we want to get to someday.
